Annually, Bill Gates create a note about the work he has done for the year in his foundation,his talks with great people and mentors as well as other musings that ranges from global warming, energy consumption and the environment in general. Public interest in his 2009 annual letter was so huge he decided to create website to put his thoughts on almost everything. And so, the Gates Notes is born.
Ideally, Gates would like to post as many as possible but would be mainly focusing to make about 3 posts each week. Gates even wanted to have some sort of a discussion or comment page in the website,"I think it's going to be a lot of fun to share on an ongoing basis," Gates said. He also said that this kind of discussion will help "guide" him.
Bill Gates is one of my most admired personality in the tech world. He has been an inspiration to many, with a true rugs-to-richest story behind his million dollar mansions and billions of dollars in the bank. The man has never forgotten his roots and has given back to charity some of his hard-earned money.
Gates has given up the daily work in the Microsoft office. He left the company in the cares of his long time friend and business partner, Steve Ballmer. Although he remains the Chairman of Microsoft, he devotes most of his time being a philanthropist.
Sure enough that he would like to contribute for the betterment of the society, given his influence, money and connections, he and his wife created the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation. The foundation has an endowment of around US$40 billion.
