Name of your website?

iTeam

Your name?

Mads N. Pedersen

Your Location (city, etc)

Fyn, Gelsted

Please give us a short summary of your website?

iteam.dk is a Dansih website offering reviews and hints about Web 2.o applications. Particularly apps relevant for entrepreneurs who are shaping their business for effective management and who recognises the opportunities by the development of next generation web platforms.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2004 - and it was iteam.dk

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The name needed to reflest partly the founders' background as MD.IT graduates (hence the "it" part of the iTeam name). We needed to focus on the Internet as a collaboraive platform as well which brought the "Team" part along...

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

A very dedicated and sincere interest in web technologies as well as a personal and (hopefully) inspiring presentation.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To develop iTeam.dk into an internationally recognized authority on Web 2.0 apps

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

So far reasonably well though it is far from enough to provide a salary worth discussing here;-)

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would gather a team of dedicated bloggers and dedicate our budget to improve our visibility...

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I should think so... I am willing to take it full-time and beyond

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Everything costs money... time is money, and if you do not respect that fact and instead chooses to go by the heart every time it's gonna cost you... unless you are fortunate enough to have close relation to former king Midas;-) That being said, I believe enthusiasm is going to get you far...

What has been your biggest challenge?

To take time off...

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

There are many interesting options, but we have reconsidered our stategy and are currently moving from viral marketing to a mix of campaigns, which is very interesting

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

The importance of being noticed... and how to get there

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

The site has been online for 4 years, and we are getting there steadily... I belive in hard work and close dialogue with visitors and I certain this will pay off somehow along the line...:-)

The website is currently in Danish - will there be an English language version?

Yes definitely... it's around the corner, and we expect to lauch it early 2008 - so happy new year and please drop by and drop us a note or two...

What is your website address?

iTeam
